About Us
The ASDP Charitable Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded by leaders of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals (ASDP). Through grants to nonprofit organizations that provide educational programs and opportunities, the Foundation expands access to sewing and design education and helps strengthen the future of the profession.

We envision a world where the sewing and design industry is made up of well trained, highly skilled, and well compensated professionals whose unique skills, expertise, and workmanship are respected and valued.
Mission
Our mission is to support students pursuing education in sewing and design, educators teaching the next generation of sewing and design professionals, and small manufacturers and other sewing and design entrepreneurs.
Our Story
Founded in 2015, the ASDP Charitable Foundation was created to support charitable and educational activities related to the sewing and design profession. The Foundation’s initial seed funding came from the remaining balance of the Professional Association of Custom Clothiers (PACC) Scholarship Fund, providing the foundation for its grantmaking efforts.
Today, the Foundation is supported through the generosity of individual donors, ASDP Chapters, conference fundraising activities, and corporate sponsors, allowing it to invest in organizations that expand access to sewing and design education.
How We’re Funded
The Foundation is supported by individual donors, ASDP Chapters, conference fundraising activities, corporate sponsors, and other charitable gifts. Every contribution helps fund grants that expand access to sewing and design education and strengthen the profession.
As a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, donations to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
